FAQS

How do I book?

Call 07984 512657 or 07807 076976 or email marvellousminiaturesandfriends@gmail.com with the type of experience you are wanting to book, preferred dates and times, venue (if applicable), number of guests/students/etc and any other indicated information (see specific experience page for information needed). Once we have settled on a date and time and both parties are happy with the details, we will email you a booking form for you to document the information discussed and an invoice for either a deposit or full payment as agreed. Once this has been paid and you've sent the completed form back to us you are officially booked in and we will send you a confirmation email.

What time will you arrive?

For mobile experiences, we will arrive approximately 15 minutes before the start time to allow us time to bring in the relevant animals, equipment, etc. and set up.

What time should we arrive?

For on farm experiences, we suggest you turn up 10 minutes before the start time to allow you to park, change footwear, go to the toilet, etc. before the start time. This also allows you extra time in case of traffic, getting stuck behind tractors or missing the farm entrance - the latter two often happening down the country lanes!

Are you insured?

Yes. We are fully licensed by North Yorkshire Council, we have public liability up to £5 million, we have clear DBS checks, and have risk assessments which are regularly updated and can be seen on request.

Can I take photos and videos?

Yes, you are more than welcome to take as many photos or videos as you would like but we ask you not to use flash to protect the animal's eyes. If you are happy for us to use the photos/videos please email them to us or tag us on social media. We may ask to take photos/videos for our social medias but will only do so if you give permission and we will email them to you

Are the animals friendly?

Yes, all of our animals are friendly, captive bred, and have gone through a training process to get them used to people, noise, travel, being handled and spending time in their travel cages. Each animal is only handled for a short period of time each experience and will not work every experience so they have rest days too. Any animals showing signs of illness, stress, etc. will not be used for experiences that day or will be taken off show if they were currently being used in an experience. Due to the nature of our business we cannot 100% guarantee animals will not nip, bite, scratch, pee or poo while being handled however, the training they go through does minimise the risk.

Will the animals make a mess?

We can't guarantee the animals will not poo or pee however, we can guarantee we will put down floor covers and immediately clean any mess the animals make

I have a phobia/allergy, can I request certain animals not be brought?

We want experiences to be enjoyable for everyone, so if somebody has a phobia of a certain animal or is allergic to them we will leave them at home. However, you could get over your phobia with careful and fun experiences!

I love one of the animals, can I request they come?

When booking you are welcome to request certain animals and we will do our best to accommodate this however, we cannot guarantee them as they may be unavailable for reasons out of our control.
